About Dr. Brown
Dr. Deron Brown is an Otolaryngologist providing both medical and surgical management of diseases of the ear, nose and throat for both adults and children, with an area of focus on disorders of balance and Inner Ear Function. Other Areas of interest include Rhinology and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, and Sleep apnea in Adults and Children. Dr. Brown also has served as an expert witness and evaluator for many medico-legal and insurance related issues. A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, he obtained his MD in 1997. Residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery was completed at the University of Manitoba.
Dr. Brown served as the Vice-President of the University of Toronto Medical Society and Co-President of PARIM.
Ongoing medical education and workshops in a variety of sub-specialized programmes have been taken at the University of Chicago, University of Iowa, New York University and Harvard University.
Dr. Brown serves as the Division Chief of Otolaryngology as well as the Deputy Chief of Surgery at The Scarborough Hospital. He is an active member of many committees in the Hospital to ensure the community continues to receive the highest quality care in the most timely fashion.
When not working, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his wife, 2 sons, dog dad to "Kibbles", as well as reading, cycling, and playing tennis.
